| BUFFALO: Buffalo's strength heading into the 2016 season is a defense that keeps its entire line intact along with star LB Brandon Berry and promising CB Boise Ross. The offense, however, will be young and inexperienced.
| | BOSTON COLLEGE: Boston College is coming off a season in which it had the nation's top-ranked defense but third-worst offense. The hope is that new offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler, who most recently held the same position at Virginia Tech, can lead a revamped attack with RB Jon Hilliman having recovered from a foot injury and QB Patrick Towles having arrived as a graduate transfer from Kentucky.
