| SMU: Chad Morris' first year as head coach didn't go very well as SMU struggled to a 2-10 record. The team does return nine offensive players to a power spread scheme and has the ability to be explosive. Improvement for the Mustangs will depend on a defense that ranked 119th last season. | | TEMPLE: The defending AAC Eastern Division champion Owls look to build on an impressive 10-4 season. Returning senior QB P.J. Walker (19 TD, 8 INT) has the potential to take another step forward after a stellar 2015, and he will have the help of junior RB Jahad Thomas (1,262 rush yds). Their 19 returning seniors will give them a significant amount of experience. |
