| KANSAS ST: While Kansas State is never an easy team to beat with head coach Bill Snyder at the helm, this roster is too thin on returning talent, especially at the offensive skill positions, to expect another 7-2 season in the Big 12. A bowl berth is an almost certainty though, with a soft non-conference schedule (vs. South Dakota, at UTSA, vs. Louisiana Tech) to give the Wildcats a 3-0 start to the season. They also have the top three schools in the conference (TCU, Baylor and Oklahoma) all visiting Manhattan in 2015. Road trips to Oklahoma State, Texas and Texas Tech are never easy either. Expect anywhere from 7-to-10 wins for KSU this season. | | KANSAS: After the loss of 14 starters from last year, the new coaching staff of head man David Beaty, offensive coordinator Rob Likens and defensive coordinator Clint Bowen has an almost impossible task of competing
in a deep Big 12 conference. If Kansas doesn't beat South Dakota State (9-5 in FCS last year) in the season opener, a winless season is a strong possibility. Before the brutal Big 12 gauntlet, the Jayhawks are slated to host 10-3 Memphis and travel to 8-5 Rutgers. The only two possibilities for conference wins appear to be at Iowa State on Oct. 3 and versus Texas Tech on Oct. 17, but Kansas will surely be getting points both times. |
