| GREEN BAY: The biggest addition to the Packers lineup will be a player who was already on the roster, WR Jordy Nelson. Back from injury, QB Aaron Rodgers' favorite target gives the Green Bay offense a chance to return to its glory days of 2014. Their receivers were struggling to create separation late last year and that should no longer be the case in 2016. DT Mike Daniels is a force up front, and if defensive coordinator Dom Capers can get LB Clay Matthews more involved in the pass rush, the Packers will be better for it. | | SAN FRANCISCO: It's truly difficult to find bright spots on the 49ers roster, but if anyone can resurrect the glory days of QB Colin Kaepernick, it could very well end up being new head coach Chip Kelly. Otherwise, QB Blaine Gabbert could end up taking the reins behind center. He was actually decent under center last year, despite being labeled a bust for his time in Jacksonville. RB Carlos Hyde has shown flashes of brilliance when healthy, but the receiving corps might be the NFL's worst. There is some young talent on this defense, but not much should be expected from this team in 2016. |
