KEY GAME INFORMATION
NEW ENGLAND: With Patriots QB Tom Brady's attempt to avoid serving a Deflategate suspension having been rejected by an appeals court in mid-July, QB Jimmy Garoppolo will be under center for the first four games of 2016. The offense isn't expected to change much, as the Pats have a ton of faith in their young backup. TE Martellus Bennett adds another dimension to New England's prolific passing game, but the defense will need to fill the pass-rushing void created by the off-season trade of DE Chandler Jones to Arizona.
NY GIANTS: The Giants invested serious money in their defense in free agency, and their star-studded lineup reflects it. DE Olivier Vernon and DT Damon Harrison significantly strengthen the defensive line, and CB Janoris Jenkins should represent an upgrade over oft-injured CB Prince Amukamara. New head coach Ben McAdoo was successful as offensive coordinator, so there's no reason QB Eli Manning shouldn't continue being as productive as always. It'd be very helpful for the Giants if RB Rashad Jennings could provide a steady source of production on the ground.
